History, Mission and Values

History

Founded in 2000 by the Association du cancer de l’Est du Québec (ACEQ), the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) and its Institut des sciences de la mer (ISMER), the CRBM supports industrial growth of the biotechnology sector including marine biotechnology.

A non-profit organization, the CRBM began focusing, in 2004, primarily on research, development and transfer of technologies to facilitate private-sector development.

Mission

The CRBM’s mission is to support and contribute to growth in the marine biotechnology sector through research, scientific development and industrial transfer activities, particularly in life sciences.
